There are dynamic anglers who know that hunting and searching out, close up and personal, is a pure adrenaline rush. Stalking a fish is an art form in its own right. The rewards are huge. Century has designed and built a specialist tool that will dominate a fish and reduce the prospect of a hook pull in this incredibly exciting and exacting activity. The tip engages in a satisfying and protective curve - cushioning the hook. The intricate carbon patterns are CAM cut after being designed by dedicated anglers, to create a truly responsive arc. Angler led design in conjunction with cutting edge manufacturing technology. The 3.25lb T/C engages over the upper two thirds of the rod. The rod’s length, which is determined by its application, means that the lower third is effectively sheltered underneath the forearm. S1 incorporates a specially built up composite handle covered in poly rubber and fitted with Frank Warwick’s balanced ball butt cap. Slze12 tip guide to avoid line choke. New British Surface Caught Record Mirror Carp - 61lb 4oz - Century S1 Stealth Rod . June 2006. Century S1 Stealth rod used in capturing the new British Mirror surface record - 61lb 4oz. The small lake based in South East England yeilded up its prize to Mark Holmes - the editor of Advanced Carp Fishing - part of DHP Group. Mark was fishing the lake whilst a film was being shot for a DVD to be release at a later date. Richard "Cash" Farnon was also on the shoot and landed a 46 on his NG's. |

If you want to exploit a margin and a target carp at close range – T1 Century Stealth will give you an invaluable advantage. It has been designed from tip to butt as a complete working system. So often these types of rods are presented as cut down longer rods with compromise written all over them. This rod has been designed and approved by our consultants. A delightfully responsive tip blends into a cushioning mid section and then concludes with the parabolic action in the lower third – capable of arresting the quarry headlong on escape. We have used a staggered butt - tip configuration to maximise the action. In some respects – “retro” because many years ago even middle distances were adequately managed with 10’ rods. Rated at 2.50lb T/C to reflect the power zone available towards the lower section of the tip for control and a compliant butt section to absorb a lunge. The upper tip has a slow taper to blend into the rest of the rod’s action and will enable good presentation of delicate baits. The blended action is responsive and avoids a hook pull, which is an unwanted feature of fast tippy action rods. T1 incorporates a specially built up composite handle covered in poly rubber and fitted with Frank Warwick’s balanced ball butt cap. Slze12 tip guide to avoid line choke. |
